Holy Crap it's my 5 year Etsy-versary this week!

"Waiting", by Lea Keohane, 2006. 2" x 3"

WOW! You guys! This Friday, June 24th, is the 5-year anniversary of when I first set up shop on Etsy. Boy has it changed since then. Boy have I changed since then! That little ACEO (artist card, a tiny, baseball-card-sized piece of art) above is the 1st thing I ever sold on Etsy. Awwwww! I can still remember how thrilled I was to sell it.

Okay, so I know I'm a big mushy dork, but I like it that way. So I want to celebrate this week!!!
First of all, buy anything from my shop and during checkout type in the code, "5YearEtsyversary" and get 20% off your whole order! (Not including shipping). And everyone that buys something will get a free surprise with your order!

Secondly, I made 2 of these "LeaKArts through the Ages" packages:

Both are slightly different, but each has a coloring book, window decal, miniature print, linocut-printed notecards, 4 magnets, a pendant, and a mirror...and both of them are FREE! All you have to do is sign up for my e-newsletter, and then leave a comment here on my blog or on my facebook page to let me know you signed up. At the end of the week, I'll have my trusty sidekick (i.e. Indigo) pull two names from a hat and the winners (YOU! I hope) will get all of this awesome free stuff.

So sign up at the top right-hand column on my bloggy here, or right here (and don't forget to leave me a comment!):

Finally, Thank You, all of you, for being my awesome supporters, followers, customers, and friends. LOVE!!

Yay for winning!

Tree in the Coriander pot holder by http://beanpicklesprouts.etsy.com

I have recently started following a really great blog, ChristopherandTia. Every Monday they have a really fun "Monday Suck Day" giveaway. Each Monday they feature a different Etsy shop. You leave a comment telling them what you like the most in the shop, and why Mondays suck so much, and later in the week they do a drawing.

A couple of weeks ago, I won! Yay! I chose this gorgeous pot holder by Amy Knight of http://beanpicklsprouts.etsy.com! When it arrived in the mail a few days ago, I could not have been more pleased :) The fabric is even prettier in person, it is incredibly well-made, and has a great slot to put your hand in, way better than any pot holder I've ever seen before. She has tons of other great stuff in her shop too, like super adorable baby items. While you're surfing, be sure to check out the super-cool recipe cards and boxes in ChristopherandTia's shop, too!

Thanks so much you guys!

Tiny Fig & Baby Hoot!

I must be one lucky girl, because in June I won 2 blog drawings!!! The first to arrive was about the cutest pair of earrings & stickers I've ever seen in my life from The Tiny Fig. Those little apples on the earrings are made completely out of polymer clay! I've already been getting so many great comments on them, I just love showing them off :)

Just yesterday my 2nd wonderful prize showed up, this adorable sushi bib from BabyHoot:
Isn't it the sweetest? My own baby is 8 years old now, thankfully way beyond bibs, so I am sending it along as a gift to my godson Ashton in Baltimore. I hope he gets it really messy! (love you Alisha!)

Be sure to check out both of these wonderful etsy shops the next time you need some extra cuteness in your life!

Before I sign off for the day, I am taking a note from my good friend Melissa and writing my goals for July here. Every month she writes her goals on her blog, and at the end of the month she compares notes with how the month actually went. What a great idea! So here goes, for July, starting with my artwork and my LeaKarts shop:
*finish updating my website, which still needs a page showing off my custom work
*make 10 sales in my etsy shop
*create and list at least 5 new original works of art
*have really successful sales at the Mississippi Street Fair & PDX Etsy shows! I would like to make at LEAST $200 at each of them!

And for SupplyRiot:
*Find 10 new items to list in my shop. My eventual goal is to consistently have 100 items in my shop at all times. Right now there are between 60 and 70.
*increase my sales by an average of $10/day
*make it through vacation at the end of the month without stressing out about shipping! :D

Happy 4th of July everyone!
