Project of the Week!

Happy Monday! It's time again for the Project of the Week! As you may know from last week, I am introducing a new project every Monday all the way up to the holidays. No matter what the state of the economy is, making your own gifts is fun and inexpensive, as well as far more personal than any store-bought gift could ever be. Plus, if you buy your supplies from small businesses, you are doing your part to support someone who really needs it and putting your money in a place that will help bail all of us out--the local economy.

This week's project is magnets! Super fun, inexpensive, and incredibly versatile, magnets make a great gift or a fantastic way to display your own artwork and offer a lower-cost item to customers that may not be able to afford original art. Make them with your own artwork, clip art, fancy decorative paper, or photos! How much more personal can you get?!?

For a step-by-step tutorial, with lots of photos and easy to follow instructions, as well as links to where you can get your supplies, check out this Squidoo lens I created over the weekend:

Have fun!

Thats a fantastic tutorial. I've been meaning to make magnets for months now. I've got all of the supplies just sitting up at my craft space, waiting to be used!

Hi Lea,
I'm joining you with the weekly project, and I posted a link to yours. I'm hoping it will keep me organized. Thanks again for the great idea. See you soon.

Lea - I just got my order of little glass squares - thank you for getting me into another craft project! :-) Anyway, am I supposed to wash these little glass pieces first?

Thanks, Casie
